Board Changes and Cash Distribution

Amsterdam, 30 June 2011 – Vimetco N.V. (LSE: VICO, the “Company” or “Vimetco”), the global producer of primary and processed aluminium products, today announces that the Company’s Board of Directors decided to appoint Mr. Gheorghe Dobra Acting Chief Executive Officer and fixed the payment date of the distribution of dividends on 14 July 2011.

On 22 June 2011, the AGM approved the 2010 annual accounts of Vimetco, and decided to distribute as cash proceeds, for the account of the share premium, an amount of USD 0.08 per share in the capital of Vimetco

The Board of Directors also decided to reorganize the management team of Vimetco. Accordingly, Mr. Gheorghe Dobra was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officerof Vimetco, while Mr. Frank Mueller was appointed Managing Director for Production and Development of Value-Added Products.

The Board of Directors decided to create the new position of Managing Director for Production and Development of Value-Added Products at the Vimetco level. Such position will mainly consist in the coordination of all operations of the group’s business units, mainly in relation to production, investments and technology with respect to the production of value-added products.

“Over the last years, the company had an organic growth, accompanied by a successful expansion, which lead to a total output of approximately 1 million tons of primary aluminium products and approximately 135,000 tons of processed aluminium products”, said Vitaliy Machitski, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vimetco. “Such growth, but also market challenges due to the international economical environment, determine a certain re-organization of the management team, in order to ensure our continuous and sound growth, in line with Vimetco’s long term development strategy”, added Machitski.
